Review:

These are quick, fun read, and interesting. We follow Jaya and a few of her friends in different friends. We follow Jaya from the beginning, then up to the events that happened a year before the novel. I have not read the Artifact series novels- but after reading this story collection I'm totally convinced that I love the characters and I'll look forward to reading the main series.

Stories included: "The Cambodian Curse," "The Hindi Houdini," "The Haunted Room," "The Library Ghost of Tanglewood Inn," "The Curse of Cloud Castle," "Tempest in a Teapot," "A Dark and Stormy Light," "The Shadow of the River," plus bonus novella Fool's Gold.

If you're a fan of mystery novels where you can put your detective skills to the test, you'll definitely want to check out this collection of short stories. Even if you haven't read any of the Jaya Jones books, you'll still find these tales to be intriguing and engaging. With a little bit of imagination and some careful attention to detail, you just might be able to solve the mysteries before the final reveal. Trust me, it's a thrilling experience!

Jaya and Sanjay are such intriguing characters, and I love how they work together to solve the mysteries. Jaya's historical knowledge definitely comes in handy, and it's always fascinating to see how she pieces together the clues to figure out what really happened. I also love how Sanjay thinks outside the box and notices things that others may miss. And it's great to hear that you enjoyed learning more about some of the secondary characters in the Jaya Jones stories, like Tamarind and Nadia. They all add so much depth and intrigue to the series!

The settings in these stories are varied and fun. Visiting a Haunted Inn, an old house, a secluded island, and even a fringe festival in Edinburgh are all interesting and add so much to the story.
