Author: Agatha Christie
Series: Miss Marple #13
This is listed as the last book in the Miss Marple series. So I went into it with very high expectations.
It starts off as usual introducing us to a new set of characters. Two newlyweds who are moving back to England.
The wife arrives first to start looking for properties. She quickly found the perfect place. The wonder is short-lived though, she starts to feel something off in their new home. During the couple's struggle to decide if investigating the weird memory Gwenda uncovered from her childhood memories- they meet Miss Marple.
The nice old lady is enjoying her peaceful time and provides her insight in her characteristic way. Initially, she advised the couple to not continue to investigate her father. Gwenda can't let it go, the mystery is too compelling, she starts diving into the past of her home and she starts to discover aspects of her father ad her stepmother that she never knew about. She is very unimposing, she decides to not push them one way or another- she simply nudges them in their investigation.
I really loved this book.
It is a very good audiobook too. I found it in Anyplay. I am going to try to get my hands on the physical books of this series.
