So we were falling behind for a good portion of the month and then I started flying through my picks. Overall this was an amazing reading month. I'm going to venture to guess this is going to be one if not the month with the highest books read for 2023.
The most popular format was audio, over 50% of my read was in it. The most convenient format surely, as I can do combine audiobooks with some of my regular day to day tasks like the drive to work, cleaning routine and the time spent playing Pokemon Go.
There was quiet a variety of genres and styles. The top 3 genres were: Contemporary, Science Fiction and Historical. The last one was kind of a surprise, I thought I wasn't too into Historical fiction, but lately I have ben finding some that I am enjoying so much. I will try to continue to see what other historical gems I can find.
By chance I have an almost 50-50 for series to standalone works. Its dunny normally I think my picks are almost all part of series and yet the difference is not as vast as I had assumes. We're already appreciating a use of the tracers.
Also I want to congratulate myself as this is the 3rd month in a row (so I have managed to hit this goal every month in 2023), over the 50% of my books include some form of representation.
For rating I had a few misses but at the same time I had the most 5 stars so far. Average rating for the month was 3.46. So that means a very decent reading month.
Moving forward to the statistics that we record about authors:
Unfortunately gender wise- I did not put enough effort so the vast majority was Male with a landslide.
For their Race
I managed to get to authors from:
Australia
Colombia
Cuba
France
India
Iraq
Israel
Japan
Russia
Spain
Sweden
Turkey
UK
USA
AS I said before this was such a good reading month.
