February Wrap up

In February there are fewer days but still, I felt I slowed down a bit on the reading sprints.

This is how it end s up looking like:

The book genres are diverse, and the only thing I want to try for later on is Poetry, as for Dystopian I am not too focused on it because I can most of the time set it along with Sci-Fi.

I am not surprised by having over the 50% of my reading on digital. I have been listening to audiobooks while getting ready for work and driving around; I have been trying to sneak in a few minutes of audiobook listening when I'm doing busy work while at the office. It is working wonderfully.

On the other hand I did try to give myself the goal of reading a bit more of Children's books. Those are most of the time nice surprises. So at least I have been reading (YA or Children) one per week.

As for Ratings, it was a nice assortment. Mostly enjoyment; on average it was a 3.3 rating.

My idea of picking books with representation- is going well. I managed to get over 50% of some sort of representation.

I give myself a clap on the back, the series continuation is going great!

As for author stats- Again female is slightly less but close enough to the 50% mark.

I managed to read a book by Spanish/Latin authors almost every week. I will count that as a win. Also, the ratio of white: to nonwhite is almost 50-50.

It looks very skewed over to America, but for individual countries - we have a good amount. The author's nationality for this month was:

  • Australia

  • Columbia

  • Congo

  • Japan

  • Mexico

  • Spain

  • USA

  • Egypt

  • Nigeria

  • Taiwan

  • UK
