Thoughts:
This is a quick-to-get-through story and is character-based. There is no English translation yet but the writing style is easy to understand, so it's a good option to read if you are trying to practice Spanish.
We follow Elias, a very bright 4-year-old boy who lives with his mother, a single mother. The father is a sales representative but he and the mom separated when the boy was a newborn, but the dad has visitation rights and does try to spend time with the boy.
One day the parents' world gets torn apart, on the way home from school the bus gets into an accident and well it was full of kindergarten children so the loss and tired starts. We do not get too many details on what happens overall, we mainly follow Elias and he doesn't understand what happened.
He wakes up in a place that looks like home but then he starts to see people, but those people do not see him. He is like a ghost, trying to continuously speak to anyone he meets and them ignoring him, The boy is shaken but he starts to wander around the place. He does eventually meet people who can see him.
One of them becomes his friend, she looks like a girl and has been there for many years, finally, he understands that this is the world of dreams. Everyone who is there is back in the real world dreaming, but they cannot interact with one another, only the people like them who are not dreaming are able to see everyone. She has a very hard time explaining things and more when he tells her he's only 5 years old. So she tries to make it as simple as it can be. She is trying to help him and guides him to the Tree of Life, which is where a dream can go to meet people who have already passed so they can help us communicate with the living.
The story is pretty, it has family love even if it's not in the classic structure, but the parents are caring and loving, and the friendships w see here are awesome. It's overall a very wholesome story.
I gave it
